Program Overview
This 45-60 minute program explores the relationship between Alberta’s energy industry and the natural environment. Starting with Alberta’s energy mix, students uncover why the province is so resource-rich, how the electricity grid is shifting, and examine the scientific evidence confirming climate change. Critical thinking activities include investigating Alberta-based innovations tackling the challenges of the "pathway to net zero," along with a facilitated discussion on Alberta’s energy future and the actions students can take themselves in the energy transition.
