Summit Details
Generate will be Inside Education’s 14th provincial-scale summit. We are excited to bring our award-winning Youth Summit experience to Calgary, Alberta in March 2025!
Getting Your Team Together
Generate leadership teams consist of 2 teachers and 4 students (age 14+) from Alberta and British Columbia high schools. Student rooms are double occupancy so please keep that in mind when making your selections. You do not have to have your full team decided when you apply but we will ask for the final list at least 1 month prior to the summit.
Teams selected from the Calgary area are encouraged to stay at the hotel with the other Generate teams to promote group atmosphere and collaboration between schools. *Some exceptions may be provided.

Generate 2025 Keynote Speakers
Anthony Johnson and Dr. James Makokis
Anthony Johnson and Dr. James Makokis are renowned as the trailblazing Two-Spirit team on the Amazing Race Canada. Residing in Treaty 6 Territory, Edmonton, Anthony Johnson is dedicated to the resurgence of Traditional Cree Medicine practices in Kehewin Cree Nation. Together, they are a formidable force, advocating for systemic change and promoting equity and inclusivity. Their journey transcends the Amazing Race; it’s a continual stride towards societal transformation, galvanizing communities, and allies alike to dismantle prejudices and foster a more inclusive, empathetic world. Their narrative is not just one of triumph but a compelling call to action for unity, understanding, and relentless pursuit of justice.
