Program Description
Inside Education can help you bring important Alberta-relevant context to students with hands-on inquiry into key agricultural topics! Students will explore the who, what and why of agriculture in Alberta and the balance between a growing population and sustainable agriculture practices. Each presentation is full of engaging age-appropriate activities, scaffolding students through the basics of plant needs and soil sciences to highlighting some of the agricultural innovations happening around the province.
- Grade 3: Digging into the Soil: How does healthy soil help us grow food food?
- Grade 5: From Field to Fork: What can agriculture teach us about being responsible for the land with changing weather and climate?
- Grade 6 or 7: Cultivating Change: What does sustainable agriculture look like in Alberta?
