Program Overview
Step into the world of Alberta’s wild species and uncover what it really takes for a population to thrive! From ecological niches and species at risk to the complex relationships between species (including humans!), this program traces what factors affect the success of wildlife populations, explored through the lens of wildlife species in Alberta! Students compare specialists and generalists, and then dig into real Alberta species to see how disease, invasive species, habitat loss, and resource management can tip the balance. Complete with critical thinking activities and facilitated discussions, students will examine the efforts being made across sectors to protect Alberta’s wildlife.
Our professional educators will tailor the presentation specifically to the appropriate grade and curriculum levels.
