Want to get inside the world of natural resources management?

Join Inside Education for an up-close look at how forest and water management converge in the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains on this one-of-a-kind teacher PD program!

The Seed Banks and Streambanks teacher professional development program invites teachers, B. Ed students, and administrators from across the province to tour the landscape where our most vital natural resources are managed.

This PD will engage with representatives from industry, non-profits, researchers, and more to explore how healthy ecosystems and sustainable resource management coincide in the headwaters of Alberta’s most populous regions.  On top of this, Inside Education will support participants in bringing what we learn into the classroom to support and enrich the curriculum.

Apply now to receive a full scholarship for this one-of-a-kind learning opportunity! Full scholarships include all meals, accommodation, and transportation during the program. Like all Inside Education programs, this teacher PD includes a subsidy to offset costs for either travel or supply teachers.

Inside Education’s work brings us to all corners of the province, as such, we acknowledge the Indigenous Peoples in the area currently known as Alberta. The relationship the Peoples of Treaty 6, Treaty 7, and Treaty 8 and Alberta’s Métis Peoples have with the land is founded on a deep respect for the environment. This connection forms the foundation of our personal responsibility for stewardship of the environment, a connection Inside Education strives to foster among students and teachers through our diverse programming.
