Are you looking to open up the world of environmental careers to your students, but are not sure where to start? Want to be able to share what a day in the life of an environmental professional actually looks like?
Inside Education invites career counselors, teachers, and administrators to join us for Exploring Environmental Careers, a no-cost teacher professional development opportunity that will offer an up-close look at the diverse world of environmental and natural resource careers!
GIS Technicians, drone pilots, forest planners, hydrologists - these are just a few of the modern and high-tech jobs available today in the world of environmental careers! During this three-day teacher PD, we will explore post-secondary options, hear from professionals who work in these fields every day, and learn about the issues, technologies, and innovations that drive these careers. We will explore the diverse paths that led them to their careers and what a day in the life looks like in the office and in the field!
This program will help you better support your students who are making decisions about their post-secondary options or entering the workforce, and increase your confidence when advising them on these career paths. It will also allow you to network with like-minded educators in the province and share ideas for natural resource careers education!
Apply now to receive a full scholarship for this one-of-a-kind learning opportunity, which includes all meals, accommodation, and transportation during the program. Like all Inside Education programs, this teacher PD includes a subsidy to help offset the costs of travel or supply teachers.
