Terra's Bio

Terra Lottermoser is a collaborative leader and facilitator who specializes in bringing diverse knowledge together in ways that are accessible, meaningful, and actionable. As Director of the Alberta Regional Caribou Knowledge Partnership (ARCKP), she leads a multi-sector initiative focused on strengthening relationships and supporting knowledge exchange among Indigenous communities, researchers, practitioners, and decision-makers working toward caribou conservation in Alberta.

Terra began her career as a field technologist studying everything from beetles to fish before discovering a passion for policy, facilitation, and knowledge mobilization. She now focuses on helping complex environmental information reach diverse audiences in ways that support collaboration and real-world change. She has led and supported a range of initiatives, including the Wetland Education Network and contributed to research that informed the development of Alberta’s Wetland Policy.

She holds a degree in Environmental Science from the University of Calgary and a diploma in Forestry Technology from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. Before joining Fuse, Terra worked as a Forestry Technologist, Senior Policy Analyst, Coordinator of the Alberta North American Waterfowl Management Plan Partnership, and founder of Lilium Consulting. Terra continues to pursue ongoing training as a facilitator and graphic recorder to support collaborative environmental work.

Mike's Bio

Mike Toffan knew early in life that he wanted a job that allowed him to work in nature. As the Founder and Executive Director of Project Forest, Mike secures land, creates planting plans and raises funds for Project Forest’s rewilding projects. Connecting with people and communities is among the most impactful parts of his work through Project Forest. Mike values his opportunity to contribute to making a positive impact in people’s lives through building forests; this is a rare and extremely fulfilling part of his job. One of Mike’s biggest passions is to share the human impact stories of his work and inspire people to find their own way of making a positive impact in the world.
