Traveling Program in Northern Alberta

Start your summer with ENERGY!

Join Inside Education and a group of teacher colleagues from across Western Canada for a dynamic and once-in-a-lifetime tour of the energy sector. This unique experience and professional development adventure is sure to energize your teaching with current content, relevant resources, and support from an award-winning energy education organization!


This comprehensive program will feature discussions about technology and innovations, pipelines, oil sands, conventional oil and gas, as well as Alberta’s substantial renewable energy resources!  This is your chance to experience on-the-ground operations, ask questions to local experts and explore why the energy sector in Alberta is such a dynamic piece of the Canadian energy story.

The program will feature tours of several local energy developments and an overview of the related environmental, social and economic opportunities and challenges. Through first-hand experiences and conversations with experts and colleagues, you will leave the program with knowledge and resources  that you can share back in your school and classroom.

Teachers from across Western Canada (AB, BC, SK & MB) are welcome to apply
If you are a successful applicant, Inside Education will provide you with a full scholarship to attend the program. Your food, program travel, accommodations, and all facility tours and workshops are included in the scholarship.

NOTE: Teachers are eligible for a maximum $500 travel subsidy for flights or mileage to the program start location.
