The day will include current information from local experts, hands-on demonstrations and opportunities to practice, and time spent with colleagues to bring meaningful experiences back to your classroom.
PD participants will receive their own Aquatic Ecosystems Tool Kit (a $300 value). Each kit includes activities, tools, and guides developed especially for elementary and junior high school students. We will go through the kit components so you feel familiar and ready to bring your own students on a guided aquatic ecosystem field trip.

-Watersheds & Wetland classification
-Pond dipping for aquatic invertebrates
-Aquatic plants and animals
-Species-at-risk & aquatic invasive species
This event is offered at no-cost, and a supply teacher subsidy is available.
If you are a successful applicant, Inside Education will provide you with a full scholarship to attend the program.
*Note – all successful applicants will be expected to participate in the entire day (no exceptions).

- This program will run rain or shine, so come prepared for the weather! The entire day will be spent outdoors.
- On the morning of your program, please complete the COVID self-assessment prior to arriving on-site. If the assessment raises any symptoms or concerns, we ask that you please not attend and contact Inside Education.
