Inside Education is here to support you!
As up and coming teachers we have a responsibility to enable students to think critically about the issues that matter most. Food is one of the most intimate relationships we all have with the environment and how we produce this food connects to our health and the health of our planet. We know that the future of our food systems requires careful management of our land, air and water. Join Inside Education as we look at the future of food in Alberta and explore how the agriculture sector is striving towards sustainability in the face of a growing population and a changing climate.
Southern Alberta is an epicentre of agriculture research and innovation and we want to take you behind the scenes to discover how Albertans are leading the way in the rapidly changing agri-food sector.
You will leave the program with a deeper understanding and balanced perspective of current and emerging agricultural topics, you will develop a network of like-minded educators and receive a toolbox full of learning resources to bring the topic to life in your classroom.
This program is geared to new teachers in their B.Ed programs and those in their first 5 years of teaching.
