Exploring the science of water research and innovation in Alberta’s capital region!

Calling all science teachers: sign up to learn about cutting-edge developments in water research that will add a splash to your science lessons! Inside Education will be offering a first-class teacher PD program in mid-November. During the two days preceding the ATA Science Council Conference, join Inside Education in Edmonton as we explore current research, technology, and innovations in the world of water. On this short, but very content-rich PD program, you will:

  • Learn about the technology being used to manage watersheds & find out how you can bring it into your classroom for your students to explore real-world watershed management challenges
  • Discover some of the world-class research being conducted at the University of Alberta's Water Initiative, including nanotechnology, water treatment, & energy research
  • Tour one of North America's largest and most innovative wastewater treatment facilities & get a behind-the-scenes look at the latest research projects being conducted at Epcor's Centre for Excellence
