Climate Change – a global issue with Alberta-based solutions.

Inside Education’s Climate Change Education Strategy was created to support teachers in bringing this important and timely topic into their classrooms. It is with this that we present a comprehensive professional learning adventure – the 2016 Energy Innovations and Climate Change Education Program!

On the program you will have the opportunity to meet with experts, participate in on-site tours, ask questions and see for yourself how Alberta’s energy sector is responding to climate change.

On the program we will consider how greenhouse gas emissions are managed on provincial, municipal and local scales while witnessing innovation in action!  You will experience current and future technology with tours of innovate research centres, a carbon capture & storage facility, biofuel refinery and a wind farm. This is your chance to expand your network of climate change experts and like-minded colleagues that will provide knowledge, insights and connections that will help you create engaging climate change lessons for your students.

*This program is open to teachers from across Western Canada

If you are a successful applicant, Inside Education will provide you with a full scholarship to attend the program. Your food, program travel, accommodations and all facility tours and workshops are all included in the scholarship.

More details can be found on our FAQs page and please contact us with any questions! We look forward to your application.
