Join Inside Education and a group of like-minded colleagues for an inspiring day that will energize your teaching! This is your chance to experience on-the-ground innovations, learn how Alberta is leading the way with energy efficiency, conservation and action on climate change while building a toolbox full of ideas for your classroom.
These one day programs will each feature an overview of electricity and climate change from Alberta experts, a tour of a local renewable energy site, and a hands-on education workshop where we will share ideas and resources that you can use the very next day!
This full day program will run approximately 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
On this program you will:
- Hear from an expert panel of guests who will share insight on Alberta’s changing electricity landscape
- Tour local initiatives that are leading the way in energy innovation and technology (Western Canada largest solar installation in Leduc, LEED & net-zero buildings, solar & wind farms and more!)
- Gain tons of hands-on activities, lesson ideas and resources that will inspire your teaching
- Build a local network of like-minded teachers

If you are a successful applicant, Inside Education will provide you with a full scholarship to attend the program. All program costs including facility tours, workshops and meals are included in the scholarship. Note – all successful applicants will be expected to participate in the entire day (no exceptions).
Teachers from across Alberta are welcome to apply for any of the program locations – If required a small travel stipend and a supply teacher subsidy are available.
