Most of Alberta’s energy production could not occur without water. From cooling electrical generating systems, to mining and refining oil sands to accessing conventional oil and gas reserves, energy production needs water. This EcoLab will examine why water is so critical and what innovations industry and government are employing to ensure that there will be water and energy available for the future. During this program you will:

• Talk to a variety of individuals and organizations whose initiatives have an impact on the management of Alberta’s energy and water resources
• Take away lesson ideas and teaching resources to help connect your experience to the classroom
