How do I claim the supply teacher subsidy?

You’ll find all the details about what is covered and how to claim the subsidy in our Supply Teacher Subsidy Policy.

How do I get in touch with Inside Education after the program has started?

You can reach the main Inside Education office at 1-888-421-1497 and they can connect you with the team that is leading the program. If it is outside of regular office hours please call or text Kathryn Wagner – 403-803-8881.

What forms will I need to sign?

On the first day of any Inside Education PD program, we will ask you to sign a participant waiver and a photo release form. We thought you might like to take a few moments to review these documents before the start of the program.

Renewable Energy & Electricity Education Tour

Grab your hard hats and get ready to take a bucket list tour of renewable energy and electricity issues in Alberta! We’ll start with climate change context, and then zip through a series of speakers and site tours to help ground your knowledge of electrical generation. Check out the dropdowns above for a suggested packing list and more!

1. Dates:
May 11 –  13, 2017
Start time: 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 11
End time: 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 13 (at the latest)

2. Location & Accommodations
We will be starting in Calgary, although the specific location is still being confirmed (although between you and me, it’s likely to be Hotel Blackfoot). Accommodations will be provided – the rooms have 2 queen beds and will be same gender, double occupancy. If you know someone on the tour and would like to share a room with them, make sure to note it on your confirmation form.

4. Supply teacher subsidy
We can provide a $150/day or $75/half day supply teacher subsidy to help offset your costs! See the Supply Teacher Subsidy form in the dropdown above.

COSIA Oil Sands Innovation Summit, March 21 - 22, 2017

COSIA’s Oil Sands Innovation Summit

Thank you so much to the high school teachers who joined us at the Oil Sands Innovation Summit. Hosted by COSIA, Alberta Innovates and Natural Resources Canada, this exciting two-day Summit put the spotlight on how innovators from industry, research, government, academia, and the service and technology sectors from around the globe are improving the environmental performance of Canada’s oil sands.

Supply teacher subsidy
