Careers in Environmental Technologies Education Tour

A recent survey revealed that 56 per cent of teens in Canada are "interested in a career in the environment, but aren't clear on the career opportunities available to them." 

 

Help your students explore their options by joining Inside Education on this in-depth professional development opportunity that explores careers in environmental technology, one of the fastest growing employment opportunities in Alberta.


This program is designed for career counselors, CALM and CTS teachers and administrators to gain current and meaningful information to pass on to their students. You'll meet professionals from a variety of industries, discuss career trends and gain the knowledge and resources to engage the future workforce with the many career possibilities in this important sector.
 
On this program, you will:

  • Gain valuable information from speakers representing the sectors main industries

  • Take a behind-the-scenes tour of NAIT Alternative Energy Technology Centre

  • Network with other career educators and industry professionals

Program Start: 7:30 am on Wednesday April 18

Program End: 5:30 pm on Wednesday April 18

* A follow up session will be offered for those attending the CTS council conference

 

If you are a successful applicant, Inside Education will provide you with a full scholarship to attend the program. Your food, program travel, accommodations and all facility tours and workshops are all included in the scholarship. A stipend for your substitute teachers is also available to you, if required.
